Lynker develops hydroinformative products aimed at integrating data from different sources in decision supporting information products. Lynker integrates Geographical Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing data, output from simulation models and other data in information and communication applications that can be used for decision support at various levels, ranging from small-scale operational services to large river basin scale strategic decision support tools.

The increasing abundance of climatological, hydrological, and remote sensing ‘big’ water data in the public domain nowadays calls for enhanced data analysis, data handling, data management and data integration methodologies to translate scientific data to knowledge products that are informative, intuitive, understandable and supportive in water resources decision making. Lynker knows what data is available, how to access it, and how to translate data into useful integrated products. We can combine data with objective-specific hydrological simulation models in hydroinformative products. We are specialized in visualizing and converting complex results of numerical models to comprehensible information for policy makers.

Lynker personnel have extensive experience in applied water resources and continuous hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to develop GIS-based and web-based based hydrologic decision support systems.

Customized Modeling Applications (Python, R, MATLAB)

Many of the problems identified by our clients cannot be solved using pre-packaged software. Lynker builds customized modeling applications to solve these unique problems which have ranged from climate change impact analyses to analysis of environmental datasets for regulatory or litigation support. For example, Lynker staff developed data processing and analysis scripts to quantify the economic impacts of climate change on coral reefs, winter recreation, and inland flooding. We commonly publish the results of these customized studies in peer reviewed outlets.
